Abstract:

Purpose. Development of the theoretical-methodical approachesof planning of development of the Credit Unions (CU)founded on the base of industrial and mining enterprises. The approaches include characteristic of the strategy and potential plan of activities on current development level improvement for various types and models of CU.

Methodology. Universalization principles and systemic format of development were used. We have defined current models of the CU development, which describe their current state and development prospects. The most effective ways of development were consolidated into a single mechanism. We have selected best practices and effective tools of development for cooperative financial institutions.

Findings. We have characterized the modern process of planning of CU strategic development and presented the mechanism of CU development schematically. We have suggested the recommendations on formation of CU development strategy.

Originality. The article describes the formation of methodological approaches for strategic planning of CU development, expressed in the form of matrix including variants of development for the appropriate CU types and models. The matrix includes possible strategies for all existing types of CU and is useful for CU development control and adaptation of the models of CU activity improvement.

     Practical value. Selection of the most optimal ways of strategic development for all types of CU. Determination of the sequence of the approaches for development strategic planning
