Abstract:

Purpose. To estimate different methodological approaches to determination of social efficiency of investments aimed on the improvement of working conditions and to define ways of their application for planning of mining enterprises’ investment activity in the sphere of labour protection.

Methodology. The research method included system and logic analysis and comparison of different theoretical and methodologicalapproaches to determination of social efficiency of investments into improvement of working conditions.

Findings. We have considered different methodological and methodical aspects of determination of social efficiency of the investments into improvement of working conditions at mining enterprises. The results reveal the ambiguousness of decisions already made both in methodological approaches and in practice. It can result into ineffective use of financial resources during introduction of working conditions improvement measures.

Originality. We have revealed the ambiguousness of the results of investment social efficiency calculation by common theoretical and methodological approaches.

Practical value. Consists in determination of the ways of increase of efficiency of investments into the working conditions improvement and establishment of the spheres of appropriate application of the existent methods for practical calculations.
