“Development of scientific foundations of increasing Western Donbass mine workings stability” monograph is dedicated to actual goal of increasing the effectiveness of coal mine operation due to the development of forecast methods of in-seam working’s contour movements, situated in layered weak rock mass for the purpose of complex evaluation of its operational state. The authors of the book are V. Bondarenko, A. Martovitskiy, I. Kovalevska, V. Chervatyuk.
During solving theoretical and practical tasks, the processes of layered weak rock mass movements of in-seam mine working are sufficiently given. Calculation was carried out with an account of the compatibility of massif and support deformation in real spatial geometry, existing structure of coal-contained massif with heterogeneous mechanical characteristics and broken contacts between layers, and also parameters of deformation diagram of each element of “massif-support” system.
In the monograph the analysis of developing different numerical method usage in the mechanics of continuum are examined. Especially finite and boundary element methods are described, while modeling the objects with non-linear mechanical characteristics, analysis of results of multiple-factor computing experiment of limited and exorbitant state of “massif-support” system elements.
Structural schemes of carrying out researches are given to allow sufficiently designing the features of “massif-support” system deformation and forecasting rock pressure manifestations certainly, due to contemporary level of geomechanical methods development.
Equations of regression for calculating displacements, characterizing its operational availability are given, based on correlation and analysis of variance of geomechanical processes’ computing modeling results around a layered mine working.
Total result of researches is presented as an algorithm of multiple-factor evaluation of selected project by typical cross-section of a layered mine working in specific mine-geological and mine-technical conditions of its exploitation.
