Research of change of convergence value of rocks in longwall depending on position of mining face along the length of extraction pillar

The results of the convergence researching in the longwall, that were obtained applying three-dimensional computer model of the stratified transversely isotropic rock mass, are presented in the article. The wallrocks convergence curve along a longwall depending on stope attitude along an extraction pillar allows to assess a reserve of hydrocylinder deformation capacity and to predict incidents in the longwalls caused by fitting of powered support onto rigid base. Parameters and results of the three-dimensional simulation of the rock mass are valid for Western Donbas conditions.
