Abstract:

Purpose. The reduction of the operating costs for the operation of the degassing system by a substantiation of rational parameters of the pipeline.

Methodology. The method of statistical analysis was used in establishing the gas piping construction costs dependence on its diameter. The method of Lagrange was employed for determination of the optimal diameter of the pipes including the cost of construction and operation of the gas piping. The graphic-analytical method was used in calculating the boundary pipe diameters under the transition from the optimum diameter to the rational.

Findings. The publications on determining the diameter of the gas pipeline were analyzed. The dependence of the pipeline construction costs on the diameter of the gas pipeline was established. The technique for determining the relative change in the total cost of construction of the pipeline and of electricity consumption by vacuum pump depending on the diameter of the pipeline was described. The mathematical model of the transition from the calculated diameter of the pipeline to its standard value when developing coalbeds in gaseous mines. The condition for replacement of the gas pipeline by the parallel connection of pipelines consisting of several branches was determined.

Originality. We have determined the dependence of the cost of the gas pipeline on its diameter in the form of the exponential function and substantiated the rational diameters of the gas piping implemented in underground coal mining.

Practical value. The developed method of transition from the calculated values to the standard diameters of the pipeline allows designing and reconstructing the degassing network of any complexity in coalmines.
