The journal admits articles in the English or Russian languages using Microsoft Word 2007, 2010, submitted personally by the author or by e-mail.  

After an external review, the article should be translated into English by the authors.

Page settings: top and bottom margins – 2.5 cm, left and right margins – 2.0 cm. The text of the article should be arranged in two columns with 0.7 cm spacing between them. Use 0.5 cm first-line indents for all the paragraphs,the 10-point Times New Roman font with single-spacing. Headings should be lower-case bold 14-point type. Subheadings of the body text should bein bold.

Article structure:

  • Universal Decimal classification index (in the upper left corner);
  • Initials and surnames of all authors (no more than 5 persons including those from no more than 4 organisations),their academic degree and rank, place of work, city, country, e-mail, ORCID, and the article title  (up to 10 words) in Ukrainian, Russian and English (one-column format);
  • Abstract (200–300 words of commonly accepted terminology only) should be structured and contain the following elements: purpose, methodology, findings, originality, practical value, keywords (6–8 words) in English (one-column format), the abstract should not repeat the heading of the article;
  • Body text (double-column format);
  • Reference;
  • Abstract and keywords in Ukrainian and Russian (double-column format);
  • Acknowledgement of the person who recommended the article for publication.
  • Title of the section of the journal the article is submitted to.

The main body of the article should include the following sections:

  • Problem statement (Introduction);
  • Analysis of the recent research and publications (Literature review);
  • Unsolved aspects of the problem;
  • Objectives of the article (Purpose);
  • Description of methods (structure, sequencing) for conducting the research (Methods);
  • Presentation of the main research and scientific results obtained (Results);
  • Conclusions and recommendations for further research in this area (Conclusions);
  • The title and number of the project under which the presented results were obtained and acknowledgements to the organizations and/or people contributing to or sponsoring the project, at the discretion of the author (Acknowledgements).

The recommended length of the article including the text, tables, and figures is to make 6–9 pages. Figures should not exceed 25 % of the scope of the article. The text should be laconic, and should not duplicate the data of tables and figures. No running titles and section brakes should be applied in the file.

Figures ( diagrams, photographs and others) should be included in the text after corresponding references and must be given as separate files in color and grayscale (*.TIFF and others)  with resolution no less than 300 dpi. The preferable width for the figures is 8.15 cm or not more than 17 cm for maps, charts, and other volume material. A figure should be centrally arranged without flow text around graphics. All figures should be placed within the text, not in tables. Figure symbols, captions, lines should be readable after dimensioning the pattern area to a column width. Figure captions should contain order number and description of the figure in Italics. Placing the figure numbers and captions inside figures is not allowed.

Equations in articles should be entered using equation editor (Microsoft Word for Windows Editor plug-in or Microsoft Equation), math style (italics), 10-point type. Equations should be column width (<8 cm). Long formulas over 8 cm should be divided into parts of 8 cm width (in specific cases – 17 cm). Before and after each formula there should be one empty line. The equations sited in the text are to be numbered rightward within the brackets.   Physical values should be measured in SI units. An integer part should be separated from a decimal one by a dot.

Tablesare presented in portrait orientation, they should have titles and be numbered, the table background is not highlighted in a different colour. Preferably, tables should not exceed 1 page in length; width should make 8.15 cm or 17 cm. It is recommended to use 8–9-point type (no less than 6-point type for big data).

Referencesin APA style (from 10 to 20 references, no more than 20% of self-citations and citations of Naukovyi Visnyk NHU) should be listed in the order of appearance in the text of the article.  References in the original language are to be presented below as a separate list. The in-text references should be given in square brackets. Romanization of Ukrainian and Russian names and surnames should meet the requirements of the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 27, January 2010 No.55 “On Regulation of Transliteration of Ukrainian Alphabet into Roman Alphabet” (for the Ukrainian language) or the requirements of the BGN/HCGN system (for the Russian language). Authors should provide DOI of the cited sources.

The article should be carefully checked and signed by all the authors as well as to be provided with the following original documents: a recommendation letter of a Doctor of Science in the proper area of expertise, expert evidence on possible general publication and license agreement (these documents are to be sent by regular mail). While submitting the article, the authors should indicate the section of the journal for placement the article.

The author credentials in electronic form should contain the following: surname, name and patronymic, academic degree, academic rank, place of employment (complete name of organization), position, city, country, contact phone number (mobile), e-mail  and authors' ORCID identifier (one-column format, comma-separated) in a separate file in English, Ukrainian and Russian. While submitting author credentials in English, one should apply generally accepted titles of academic degrees, academic ranks, and positions.

Authors bear responsibility for the content of their articles. Submitted materials are not returned.

Articles that do not meet the requirements will not be considered.
