It is proposed the model for studying the inhibitory process of the shaft multiple-rope hoist, which makes it possible to determine the rational parameters of the disk brakes, allowing for the requirements of the safety rules. The shaft hoist is presented as a system of lumped parameters in the form of five-mass system with weightless elastic damping allowing investigation of the dynamic properties of the mine shaft multiple-rope hoist in the braking process quickly and with sufficient accuracy.
