Data about heterogeneous lithologic composition of Raygorodska strata of central region of the Ukrainian shield and formation during late Maastricht – early Paleocene are considered. Formations of late Maastricht in the volume of area Nephrolithus frequens are presented by tuff within the limits of Tyasminskaya depression. Paleocene deposits occur within the limits of Kirovograd-Novomirgorodskaya depression and consist of sedimentary-volcanic rock with fragments of mixed Crataceous-Paleocene fauna. Stratification of Raygorodska strata of Kirovograd-Novomirgorodskaya depression is based on the syngenetic lower Paleocene fauna of matrix material in the volume of Cibicides lectus zone.
