Annotation:

Practical aspects of waste banks state monitoring tasks solving at mining regions using multispectral satellite imagery are presented, in particular, mapping the location of nonburning, smoldering and burning waste banks at the Donets Coal Basin region. The approach to waste banks state monitoring using multi-temporal satellite imagery is created. The verification of the proposed approach is performed using the Landsat-TM imagery for the Donets Coal Basin region.
