Annotation:

The paper considers the process of converter melting. Authors analyze existing systems of automated control of BOF production, the use of computer control algorithms, taking into account the influence of the human factor. The necessity of building intelligent control system which aims not only to obtain steel with predetermined properties, but also to minimize the use of an oxidizer and additives, as well as to take into account random factors is substantiated. The approach to its implementation based on the use of the experience of operators is presented.
