The article considers the analysis of geological, production and technical parameters of the Ukrainian quarries where rocky nonmetallic minerals are developed. On the example of No.2 Mokryanskiy granite quarry it is considered the economic efficiency of three kinds of transport: car, conveyor and skip transport. A new method of transportation of rock mass by means of cable ground layer roads is suggested, the range of their effective application and structure of costs on carrying of goods in open cast mining is determined.
