The article outlines two methods of a surveyor control of the state of a support and a rock mass around a mine working. A scheme of the observant station for carrying out the supervision over the condition of the mine workings development is presented. The ways of the observant stations creation and the technology of the measurements are stated. On the basis of the practical application the analysis of both methods is executed, their defects and advantages are set in different terms.
