Annotation:

State of the Ukrainian coal industry and the work of coal mining enterprises developing thin anthracite stratums were analyzed. Mining and geological conditions of mining at a depth of 1000 metres or more were considered. The actual load on the working face was analyzed. The necessity of limiting the length of working face because of the specific behavior of rock pressure is substantiated.
