Annotation:

The distribution of methane in the worked-out area near the mining face has been studied to determine the distance at which accumulation of gas appears in the mined-out space that can affect the gas environment being rarefied by air flow behind the combine. The equation has been drawn up for calculation of the methane discharge per unit of length of the face at any time throughout the production cycle of coal mining.
