The results to determine the optimal concentration of synthetic diamonds in tungsten and without tungsten matrix impregnated drill bits. The conducted researches allow to recommend crowns with the most relative concentration of synthetic diamonds, at which, however, there is not a danger of painting of matrix. The maximal size of relative concentration of diamonds in matrices is determined by their properties and possibility of increase of withholding of diamonds in a matrix due to an origin between them to chemical intercommunication. With the purpose of increase of wearproofness of crowns it is necessary first of all to promote quality of matrix, that allows to increase the relative concentration of diamonds without painting of matrix in the process of the boring drilling.
