Position of Germany among the leading states of the world has been considered. The analysis of structure of German economy has been executed and the features of export model of economy of country have been investigated. A graph of levels of GDP of the leading countries of the world has been presented. The comparative analysis of the levels of GDP per person has been done. Economic comparison of several indicators of the economies of Ukraine and Germany has been fulfilled. On the one hand export model of German economy has showed an acute vulnerability to global economic crisis. On the other hand this model could make relatively rapid growth of the country's economy associated with the growth of the global economy.
