Annotation:

The authors have analyzed the exhalation valve in the respirator construction and have found that its presence reduces the breathing resistance and allows removing moisture from undermask space. Structural features of the exhalation valve have been investigated by standardized method tests and identified key parameters and impermeability. Analysis of the effect of temperature on the impermeability of valves showed that it leads to damage of the petal and performance degradation. Tests with simulated ingress of dust into the valve has been carried out.
