Abstract:

Purpose. Development of electronic environmental certificates of waste-rock piles with the aim of determination of the direction of coal waste disposal fields environmental safety improvement.

Methodology. For creation of electronic environmental certificates of dumps we used the software Microsoft Exel, Bing Maps, SAS. Planet. Modeling of carbon dust dispersion process was made by EOL 2000 software. To build 3D model of dump program we used RealTime Landscaping Architect 2012.

Findings. The algorithm of electronic environmental certification of waste-rock piles has been developed. It includes the stages of input, storage, processing and systematization of information, as well as mapping of disposal sites. The information accumulated in the environmental certificates of dumps concerning adjacent area contamination levels may be used for assessment of the technological and environmental risks arising in the areas affected by waste dumps. Environmental certificates of dumps may provide the opportunity to develop a long-term plan of actions aiming reduce the volume of waste and prevent negative impact on the environment and human health.

Originality. The methodic of creation of electronic environmental certificates of coal mine waste-rock piles has been developed. This methodic allows grouping and combining all data necessary for environmental problems solving into one document.

Practical value. Electronic environmental certificates will allow us to automate the information processing, analysis and systematization. Electronic certification of disposal sites will form a database of dumps located in mining regions and determine the prospects for their use in ecological network development. Use of 3D models of dumps will increase the effectiveness of elimination and prevention of spontaneous combustion, dump reclamation, detection and prevention of hazardous processes and phenomena.
